Position Overview:
IPP is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role will support the current Controller. The Senior Accountant will play a vital role in financial reporting, strategic projects, and contributing to day-to-day accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Work closely with the Controller to enhance and streamline accounting processes
- Support monthly and year-end close processes
- Contribute to audit preparation and ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements
- Help implement financial systems upgrades or integrations, as needed
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accuracy and transparency of financial data
- Provide mentorship and technical accounting guidance to junior staff, as required
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally within a manufacturing, industrial, or asset-heavy business
- QuickBooks experience required
- Experience with expense management systems
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and internal controls
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and work collaboratively with leadership during a time of transition
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of international payments and FX
- Knowledge of VAT
- Experience with payroll processing systems
- Proficient with accounting software and Excel; experience with ERP systems preferred
