Position Overview:
International Process Plants (IPP), the world’s largest seller of used process plants and equipment, is seeking knowledgeable and proactive Market Intelligence Consultants with global expertise in process industries and plants. This role requires globally connected professionals with deep insights into one or more industries such as petrochemical, oil, refining, industrial chemical, specialty chemical, pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, fine chemical, fertilizer, polymer and agrochemical.
The ideal candidate is intimately familiar with the process industries, their decision-makers and emerging opportunities. He or she will leverage their global industry knowledge to identify:
- Companies and/or regions where projects have been canceled or plants idled.
- Companies and/or regions where plant closures or expansions of production facilities are being considered.
- Potential customer matches for IPP’s inventory of plants or opportunities for IPP to acquire additional facilities to meet our customers’ needs.
- Geographical areas where enough of a certain product is being imported to justify a manufacturer to set up a plant to make that chemical.
Qualifications
- Proven expertise in the process plants industry with a focus on one or more of the following sectors: specialty chemicals, fine chemicals, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, biopharma, polymers, oil refining, fertilizers and agrochemicals.
- Proven ability to identify companies that are restructuring or have plants to sell or expand.
- Strong understanding of global market dynamics, including knowledge of companies and regions with idled or canceled projects, and economic factors that force companies to react to asrapidly changing marketplace.
- Ability to identify and track production shifts, such as plant closures or expansions.
- Excellent research, analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as a consultant and provide updates on findings and recommendations.
- Flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in the world.
